The Band - Tears Of Rage
“... and life is brief”
In memory of Richard Manuel (April 3, 1943 – March 4, 1986), pianist and singer of The Band. Tomorrow it’s 31 years ago that, after a performance in Winter Park, Florida, Manuel (aged 42) committed suicide in his motel room. He had suffered for many years from alcoholism and drug addiction. He had been sober for several years beginning in 1978, but had begun drinking and using drugs again before his death.
Richard wrote this song together with Bob Dylan in 1967. Let’s listen to Tears Of Rage by The Band live at Woodstock 1969.
