John Bull & The Bandits - Bob Dylan's 115th Dream

Today, November 28th, we could not find anything to link today's VotD to. No birthday to celebrate, no death to mourn. In those cases we always have the Top Hat that Dylan wore at Blackbushe (yes... it is here at NSDLD HQ in the Netherlands, in case you wonder where that went to).
In that hat are little pieces of paper, folded, with a suggestion for an unusual VotD. We often let the cleaning lady pick from the hat.
This morning she picked Bob Dylan's 115th Dream by John Bull & The Bandits

Opening for The Blockheads at Under the Bridge in Chelsea, the Bandits had apparently been asked to strip down by the management. By which I mean, they were pulling out a relatively quiet warm-up set: no drums, no bass, no sax. Although as you can see, they still had a rather large sound. Here, they pull an unlikely but excellent cover of Bob Dylan's classic 115th Dream out of the bag. Relish the particularly moody intro, courtesy of Jon Moody.
