The 10's: Stromae, Selah Sue and Gotye
In 2010, a skinny boy from Brussels with the strange name Stromae scored across Europe a hit with Alors on danse. In 2013, he scored again with the album and the singles Racine carrée Formidable and Papaoutai. His musical style is a combination of hip hop, electronic music and chanson influenced by Jacques Brel.
Soul singer Selah Sue slowly broke through to the general public. In 2011 Gotye had a world hit with a song called Somebody That I Used To Know (a duet with New Zealand singer Kimbra). Gotye was born in Bruges, but emigrated to Australia. The song even reached the number 1 position in the United States.
The dance festival Tomorrowland became increasingly popular, which also had its influence on the international success of some Belgian DJs and producers in the electronic genre such as DJ Coone, Netsky, Lost Frequencies and especially the duo Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, which in 2014 even the second place finisher in the global top 100 best DJs by DJ Mag.
In 2016 Tourist Lemc broke through. This year was a successful year for Stan Van Samang.

Bruno Deneckere, Derek and Nils De Caster
This trio performed Dylan tribute concerts for many years. A tradition that began in 1991, at the now legendary musicians pub The Caruso in Ghent, on the occasion of Bob's 50th birthday (May 24). The concerts that followed they always chose a Dylan album that would be the theme for the show. Albums like John Wesley Harding, Planet Waves, New Morning.
Workingman's blues II
Vieze Gasten Ghent, 2009
Besides their own interpretations of songs by the great Bob, Bruno, Derek and Nils also perform poems and songs that inspired Dylan (Woody Guthrie, Dylan Thomas, Rimbaud, William Blake, Blind Willie McTell). This approach brings them - creative musicians as they are - to new worlds.
